We are starting the implementation of the project "Stabilization of the power system using flexibility from distributed energy sources: a pilot project in Ukraine"
Bratislava / Khust, October 1, 2025 – PowereX j. s. a. has launched the implementation of the project “Stabilization of the electricity system using flexibility from distributed energy sources: a pilot project in Ukraine”.
The project is implemented from the Official Development Assistance of the Slovak Republic, through the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation (SAMRS), within the call SAMRS/2025/PPP/1.
The project is focused on the implementation of an innovative energy solution – the installation of a battery electricity storage system (BESS) in the city of Khust in Ukraine, with the aim of increasing the energy security and resilience of the local community. The project represents a pilot implementation of a flexibility aggregation system in the conditions of the Ukrainian network, the stability of which is significantly disrupted due to the ongoing armed conflict. The result will be a functional BESS system integrated into the network, which will demonstrate the ability to mitigate fluctuations and contribute to the stability of energy supplies.
The implementation of the project will last from October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2027.
