Project description:

The project explores the potential of AI-driven virtual power plants (VPPs) in Serbia. VPPs are small energy communities producing electricity from renewable energy sources. Artificial Intelligence will be used to measure and predict production and consumption of energy sources inside of the virtual group. The project will evaluate readiness of the electricity network and electricity market for this solution in the target market in cooperation with the local partners in Serbia. If the market is identified as suitable, commercial activities will be taken.


Price: 38 000 USD

Total budget including co-financing: 55 500 USD
The project “AI-driven Virtual Power Plant feasibility” is implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through the Slovak Challenge Fund, with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.

Project description:

The aim of the submitted project is to participate in the EU programme, namely in Phase 2 of the SME Instrument/EIC Accelerator under Horizon 2020. The project will be implemented through one main activity entitled "Engagement in SME Instrument Phase 2", the subject of which will be activities related to the development of a feasibility study through internal resources in combination with external resources.


Non-returnable financial contribution: 50 000 EUR
This project is supported by the ERDF European Regional Development Fund
